It has been 18 months since the 100% acquisition of the ARCON GROUP OF COMPANIES by the THEODOROU GROUP. ARCON has a presence through wholly-owned subsidiaries in 9 countries: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
Operating under the ARCON brand and employing over 100 staff, these companies specialize in industrial coding, traceability, and labeling of products. Through the acquisition, they will also have the opportunity to expand into other business areas of the Theodorou Group (robotics, automation, Industry 4.0, consumables, etc.). In this context, we have already initiated the setup of a new factory for label and ribbon production in Hungary to meet the needs of Central Europe, with completion expected within 2025.
Additionally, in Central Europe, ARCON’s companies have a significant presence in integrated recycling systems and ESG initiatives, with ongoing projects exceeding €15 million in value.
In early November 2024, the first global meeting of ARCON companies took place in Cambridge, United Kingdom. The meeting was attended by the management of the Theodorou Group and ARCON executives from all countries, and discussions focused on the integration progress of the two groups, as well as growth opportunities through the Theodorou Group's expertise in industrial packaging and ARCON’s know-how in recycling and ESG.
